Inspiration: It took me forever to figure out how to make Leia look. I wanted a more mature regal look for her. At the same time, I also wanted a Jedi look about her. Since she also does a lot of work for the New Republic I thought this look is reminiscent of that time. She has that "Lady Vader" look about her in this outfit.
